Please allow me to be brutally honest about this dealership. I remember that my first official visit back in 2018 being very pleasant and laid back because my salesperson at the time was a car guy and we chatted longer than expected. And I also remember the first finance guy messing something up and getting fired. Whoops. Fast forward to August 2020. My last new car was totaled and I had a few used cars to hold me over but I was tired of dealing with it. Also, I filed for bankruptcy in March to start over on my credit. I was in a bad spot and once it was discharged, it was a huge relief. Except for Gladstone Mitsubishi sending me a bunch of sh*t to my old address and new address. Why? Because bankruptcy is public record and they have a "special" financing for people who are either still in the process or done with the process. I was in both situations. I contacted Debra. She explained the program briefly. I couldn't get financed yet because it wasn't quite discharged (this was June/July) and banks didn't want to finance Uber/UberEats. Fine. I contacted Debra after it was finally discharged. I was still doing UberEats but I was approved by a bank. I decided to drive down the following day. I asked again if I was approved. Told "yes". For what car@f35 A 2020 Mirage G4 CVT - somehow more miserable and worse than the hatchback (which I've owned a MANUAL one and loved it). Instead of dealing with Debra personally, a guy named Alec helped me .... kinda inexperienced I guess? I don't know. Anyways, the car I was approved for was pulled up. I didn't notice too much at first but the paint was scratched and swirled. F*cking awful. Like someone dried it with sandpaper. I test drove it to humor them. Came back after a 5 minute test drive. Asked how it was, I said "fine". Financing? Well, went through Brandon. Incredibly pushy. I didn't even get to say anything about gap or the STUPID extended service contract (which I can't even f*cking use because it doesn't cover UBER -- TOTAL FAILURE to mention) because it was already there and didn't say no. Other than that it went fine I guess. Felt rushed. Got to drive the car home and no gotchas which was weird. Papers looked normal, gap and esc are accounted for. Well, a few days later I was called because I had to sign a new contract. WTF? My rate went up a little. Okay, whatever. At the time I didn't notice they took off gap. I went in thinking that I'd try to finangle getting the contract off but nope. Rushed again. I got home and saw THEY TOOK OFF GAP. But kept the stupid contract on there. I'm f*cking kicking myself for not being more assertive or even saying, "No, I'll just keep my car for a bit". I feel like I was slightly taken advantage of and the other reviews mirror that. If you file for BK please don't give in to getting a car here. My loan for a 16k car? almost 20 grand!!! and 18% APR. I know I just finished a bankruptcy but seriously. I blame the service contract. I'm going to cancel it and get some of the money put towards the ridiculous car payments. No. Never again. I should have known better. I'm happy I have a new car but jesus it was not worth it. I'm definitely getting out of this car soon ... I only really got it to help my credit. I know I could have said no but like I said, they really push you. And then get offended when you call them out or say the service contract is useless lol
